Hummus

Hummus is a delicious middle eastern dip made of chickpeas and tahini, popular all over the world. But the thing a lot of people don't realise is that it is one of the easiest things you can make; just add the ingredients to a blender and blend, that is all. This recipe is creamy and has a lovely sesame flavour from the tahini, and tastes better than the stuff you get in the supermarket. It goes well with pita bread, regular bread or just about anything you want to dip in it! (anything runnier than hummus anyway)

1x 400g tin chickpeas (240g drained)
60ml freshly squeezed lemon Juice
60ml Tahini
1 Clove Garlic, finely chopped
30ml rapeseed oil
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Ras el Hanout spice mix (optional, for garnish)
Pine nuts (optional, for garnish)
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: instant
Serves: 4 People (Makes 20 - 25 chunky meatballs)
