Never in my wildest dreams did I think that one of the best salami's I would ever taste in my life would be Salami made just down the road in South East London, but when I tried Perinelli Salami that is exactly what happened.
Perinelli Salami is a cured meat company in Penge, South East London ran by husband and wife Giuseppe Perinelli and Becky Owens. They make their products with free range rare breed pork sourced from British farms, but use old Italian methods in the curing process resulting in some of the finest cured meat you could find anywhere. Even Marco Pierre White is a big fan, so much so they have a joint venture together! Their products are stocked in quality butchers all over South East London, check out their website to find a stockist near you. Alternatively, they also sell online if you don't feel like venturing out for it.
We tried the Fennel Salami as well as the London Chorizo, and both were to die for. The flavours were amazing and they were perfectly cured with just the right amount of bite. Any time we fancy a little bit of Salami we know where we will be going!
